NEWS FROM THE BAND
Nov. 30th, 2008
Well it's been quite a while since anyone paid any
attention to the News Page. It's not like nothing has
been going on. In fact, we've been so busy we forget
to write.
Here goes... Lets start with Halloween at the Sandbar.
All that can be said is summed up in the pictures.
As you can see, Tito out did himself by taking it one
giant step past good taste. The wedding dress
costume is now legendary. Have to say Tito did
make a lovely bride. The rest of the band were taking
bets on how long he'd keep it on or how long it
would take for the seams to blow out. He kept it on
all night long and the seams held. Amazing! As far as
the show was concerned, tons of great people and
the costumes were fantastic.
We had a great night at Doc Holidays the following
week. This time there weren't any guys bleeding
from there head but it was still a great time.
Next we played at Presque Isle Downs and Casino.
Gotta admit we were all little concerned about this
one. We weren't allowed to use our sound system or
our lighting. In fact, they have very strict volume
rules we had to follow. To put it mildly we were a
little nervous. As many of you know, the M-80's like
to let things get out of hand at our shows. It makes it
interesting to say the least. Well, all the concerns
went away very quickly. As soon as we started to
play people started to dance and before it was all
over girls were dancing on stage with us just like any
other place we'd play. The good news is they ran out
of bottled beer because there were so many of you
wonderful people there to enjoy not just ONE night
but, TWO nights of 80's music. The casino has asked
us to come back so, we are feverishly trying to make
that happen.
We then had another world class night at the
American Legion in Jamestown. Post 777 you guys
just ROCK. Never in a million years would we have
expected the reception we keep getting at this place.
The Pics don't lie. It was off the rails again and we
can't wait till Feb. to return.
This leads us to the night before Thanksgiving at the
Oasis. As is always the case at the Oasis, the owners
and the staff were wonderful. Of course that helps
but, the people that show up at that place really
make playing there fun. By the end of the night we
had girls dancing on or bass cabinents and the place
looked like something out of "Animal House". When
we were packing our gear the staff was cleaning up
the mess. It's safe to say that from the appearance of
things you people had a great time. It's also safe to
assume that there must have been some very hung
over people enjoying there turkey the next day. The
place was just wrecked. Gotta say that we wouldn't
have it any other way.
As you all know by now this band is all about the
FUN. It's like we are the hosts of these amazing
parties week after week. When we have a weekend
off, we all feel like we are missing something. We'd
just like to tell all of you THANK YOU!
By the way, please check out all the new pics. Gotta
thank NICHOLE for the help with that . Please keep
up the great work!. If you guys see NIc taking
pictures ask her to take your pic. We love putting
you folks up on the site.
Keep checking our Schedule Page for new additions.
